Bored At Home: Our Guide to Staying Entertained on a Friday Night

Due to the current state of the world, many of us have had to spend the majority of our time indoors. For the most part, this has allowed us to connect with our loved ones and spend time relaxing, but you can only stay indoors for so long before you start to go crazy.

At this point, we have all exhausted our potential time-wasting activities and so you may be looking for something new to do. Don’t worry, we have you covered. Here is our guide to staying entertained on a Friday while at home.

Crafts

One of the best ways that you can preoccupy your time is by taking up a craft. The best part about crafting is that there are no limitations on what you can create and you are bound to find something to do that matches up well with your own personal interests.

If you are someone that has a lot of scrap material around your home, you may also be looking for a creative way to recycle what is left over as opposed to just binning them. If you are someone that is not too familiar with the world of crafts, then there are plenty of youtube channels and other media platforms that you can use to learn how to do some basic crafts.

You can also get the entire family involved in your crafts by choosing something that you can do in a group. Some of the most popular crafts are items that you can use to decorate your home as you will get the most use out of them.

Watch a live performance

If you think your Friday nights are becoming tedious, then you should consider watching a live show. Many of your typical platforms for performance have been unable to open, so you may not have been able to see a concert or live performance for some time now.

Entertainers still need to make money so many of them are taking their performances online. Many of your favorite entertainers have been advertising their brand new online services on different sites. For the most part, all you need to do is pay a general admission fee and then you will be free to stream their performance from any device. There will only be one fee, so it will be like going to a concert and only having to pay for one ticket, which means that you will be saving a lot of money.

Friday night quiz

Something that has gained a lot of popularity in the last few months is taking part in online quizzes. Thousands of us have come together to test our trivia on various topics.  You can do quizzes on fridaytrivia.com and other similar sites for extremely low prices. A lot of these online quiz sites also offer a cash reward or some sort of prize, so that will only add to the competitive edge of taking part.

This is something that is great to take part in with the family as during lockdown you may have found yourself arguing more due to not being able to separate yourself from one another. Nothing brings people together more than taking part in group competition, so you are bound to bring some smiles to your home.

If you have an interest in a certain topic, then you will be able to find a quiz that relates directly back to your point of interest. This way, you will not be forced to try and win some sort of random trivia and quiz which will mean that you may have a better time.
